What Should I Feed My Kunekune?

We feed our Kunekunes this custom mix from our local feed mill which we buy in bulk. Notice that it has almost 20% protein which is imported for building muscle mass and setting the growth rates on young pigs. Also important is to keep over 1% lysine which helps convert feed to muscle. We buy this mix ground and mix it with water to make a mash. We offer free choice feed until pigs are around 6 months. In the summer, pigs have access to unlimited pasture grass as well. In winter, they are offered grass hay or supplemented with high quality alfalfa. Pigs always have access to fresh water, changed daily.
